Christmas Activities in Fenagh
A Christmas Fair takes place in Fenagh Community Centre on Dec 1st from 12-5pm – free entry, craft stalls, music and refreshments on the day with Santa paying a special visit also.   Bookings are also being taken for the annual Christmas Floral Workshop by Rubys Mill Nests which takes place on Monday Dec 16th at 7pm in the Visitor Centre – to book call 0719645590 or www.fenagh.com

Christmas Hamper – Fenagh Tidy Towns
Lines are now on sale at the Visitor Centre and from committee members for our Annual Christmas Hamper Draw which takes place December 18th  – all support greatly appreciated.

Fenagh Handball
25 Cards continues this Thursday night in the Visitor Centre at 8.30pm with nightly prizes and league prizes. All proceeds to Fenagh Handball Club. New players welcome. Last week’s winners were first place Sean Tighe, second place Doreen Honeyman. Training continues this Friday at 6.30pm. New members welcome.

AGM takes place on Friday 22nd November at 9pm in Glenview House, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim N41 N6V4. New members welcome.

Leitrim Local Studies launches Michael Whelan Historical
Local Studies section at Leitrim Library Service will officially launch the ‘Michael Whelan Historical Archive’ at Ballinamore Library on Friday 22nd November at 7pm. This archive represents an important local history collection relating to Leitrim and its people, built up by Michael Whelan throughout his life, based on face-to-face conversations with local people, as well as research gathered from major libraries in Ireland and England During the launch, there will be an opportunity to see the work being done in the Local Studies Library. Leitrim Library Service will also use the occasion to encourage and inspire others to bring forward historical material from personal sources, which will add to Leitrim’s historical heritage, for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future generations. Free event, all are welcome and light refreshments will be served.

Hedge Cutting Grant Scheme 2024/2025
This scheme is now open and aims to encourage the cutting of roadside hedges/trees along the Public Road Network. Open to all, individual applicants, communities and groups. The Grant is €75 per km (with a min of 1km per applicant). A new additional Grant of €50 per 10 trees per km has been introduced to encourage the cutting of dangerous overhanging tree canopies/branches along the public road network (This would be a maximum of €125 per km). Wellness Talk
Feeling stressed, lacking energy with poor digestion? Sarah Brerton from Naturalife will be in The Nature Trail, Ballinamore on Friday 29th November from 11.00 to 1.30 for a chat and advice on the above. 

Fenagh Active Age 

Lorraine Mulvey will be giving a talk  and information  on age friendly healthy homes and SEAI grants to our group on Monday the 25th November at 3pm in the Fenagh visitors centre members of the community are welcome to come as it may be helpful .
